Hyundai XG350

The Hyundai XG350 is the North American designation for the third generation of Grandeur sedans produced by the Korean motor company since the mid-1980s. The Grandeur models have been sold under many names, including the original Mitsubishi-partnered Debonair, the Hyundai Grandeur, and, eventually, the Hyundai Azera. The third generation of the Grandeur platform included the XG25/XG250, the XG30/XG300, and the final iteration of the XG lineup, the Hyundai XG350.

The XG350 is a mid-sized luxury car introduced to the automotive market in 2002. The Hyundai XG350 models were an upgrade to the 1998 XG300. The 2002 XG350 was fitted with a larger engine which produced only marginal improvements in rated horsepower, but provided more torque and pickup. The XG350 did over some improvements, including new sixteen inch alloy wheels which were an inch larger than the earlier models. The interior instrument panel was updated in the Hyundai XG350 of 2003, and the trip computer graphics and software were updated. One way that the XG350 took a step back was that there was no moonroof option as an upgrade on base XG350 models, and could only be added to the luxury package.

In 2004 the XG350 went through a significant upgrade. The 2004 Hyundai XG350 included a safety upgrade with larger front brakes and the retirement of the tiny "space-saver" spare tire in favor of a full-sized spare. The exterior was redesigned with newly-designed bumpers (front and rear) and reimagined side molding, headlights, tail lamps, and grille. The rear window brake indicator was enhanced with LED lights and seat tether improvements facilitated the use of child safety seats. The color options for the interior leather were updated with new colors and better matching of the wood-trim, switch pads, and storage bins.

2005 was the final year for the Hyundai XG350 model. It would be replaced in 2006 by the Hyundai Azera. The last XG350 saw only minor improvements aimed at making it easier to feel the difference between the window control and locking switches in the doors. A new standard feature was the 8-disc CD changer mounted in the XG350's trunk. The 2006 Hyundai Azera is based on the XG350 and it continued the evolution of the Grandeur legacy.

There are a number of XG350s still on the road, but design changes over the many years of the model means that if you are consulting your Hyundai XG350 repair manual and searching for the right 2002 Hyundai XG350 parts to fix your car, you may run into some confusing options. There are some used Hyundai XG350 parts to be found, but it can be easy to buy the wrong part for the wrong year. The better bet is to use a website like to help you locate and purchase Hyundai XG350 accessories and parts. With you can search an online catalog and find the right Hyundai XG350 parts for your vehicle. The parts will be shipped right to your door and you can keep your XG350 running for years to come.
