Product Note: Reman Short Rack - w/ Servotronic Two sizes of locator pins are used in the free-floating side of the rack housing. The early production models use an 8mm pin and locator opening while the later production housings use a 10mm pin and opening. This difference is easily accommodated by either using the correct pin size or utilizing the 8mm pin for all applications. The locator pin is just a guide and not a critical performance item.

Audi V8 Quattro
Produced between 1988 and 1994, the Audi's full-sized luxury model, the V8 Quattro was the first vehicle manufactured by the company to be equipped with an engine of that size as well as the first all wheel drive car (quattro) to offer an automatic transmission. The first V8 Quattro had a smally V8, displacing 3.6 liters. Later on during the production run, the engine size was increased to 4.2 liters. For the 1994 model year, the Audi V8 was discontinued in favor of the Audi A8. However, U.S. and Canadian car buyers had to wait another three years before it was available in North America. A high performance racing version of the Audi V8 won the German Touring Car Championship two years in a row in the early 1990s.
The Audi V8 engine had dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. Initially, this was mated to a four speed automatic transmission in the base model. A five speed was available as an option, which was later upgraded to six speeds. The transmission was tne ZF 4HP24A, designed by the Friedrichshaven Gear Factory (Zahnradfabrik). One of the Audi V8's more interesting features was its galvanized steel body, which carried a 10 year warranty against rust and corrosion. The idea behind this vehicle was to establish Audi was a serious player in the upscale luxury sedan market, able to compete against Mercedes-Benz and BMW's high-end models.
The Audi V8 was similar to its 100 and 200 series of executive sedans, and was built on a modified version of the same platform, the Volkswagen C3. The engine used all-aluminum construction at a time when most engines were made from cast iron. It had a number of other noteworthy features as well. Exhaust cams were driven by a Kevlar timing belt, situated in the front of the the shaft, while the inlet cams were driven by a roller chain from the rear of the cylinder banks. These made for simpler construction with fewer parts to wear out. Audi recommended that the belts for the smaller V8 be changed every 60,000 miles, while the larger, 4.2 liter engine could go up to 75,000 miles between timing belt replacements.
The old belt driven cooling fan was replaced by a an electric one with thermostat controls. In addition to furnishing airflow for the radiator, it forced air through the oil cooler as well. The Quattro drive system was full time, distributing power equally to both axles.
Properly cared for, even a 1991 Audi V8 Quattro for sale that is now over a quarter century old can be an excellent buy. This is true of all model years. Consult the 1990 Audi V8 Quattro repair manual to learn more about the maintenance schedule and what parts may be required to keep it running strong. Then, shop at PartsGeek.com for lower prices on normally expensive 1991 Audi V8 Quattro parts. PartsGeek.com offers a complete line of automotive parts and accessories at discount prices of up to 80% off.

Awesome product and great quality.I couldn't be happier by buying this product for my car from PartsGeek. They provide super fast shipping and great prices for most of their items.
This timing belt is great and got the job done right. It's always good to replace your worn timing belt to avoid replace your entire engine.Im glad that I had purchased this great quality timing belt from PartsGeek.
I'm very pleased the fact that I had purchased this awesome & great quality water pump for my car.Even though the original water pump that came from my car was still in great shape but you never know when it will fail after 80+ thousand miles. Now my 83,000 mile engine is more safe than ever.
Great Product, Fast Shipping, Very Satisfied with the service!
