Toyota Tundra
When the Toyota Tundra came on the scene at the beginning of the twenty first century, it was thought to be the first imported pickup truck that was full sized. Many people also thought that it could compete with any domestic brand. The Tundra had many things in its favor such as the refinement of its V8 engine. It also had a reputation for durability and reliability. The Toyota Tundra discovered more audience because of its recreational features. It did not get as much attention from the hard core users. However, later, it was made with more capacity and in fact, larger.
When this vehicle is appropriately equipped, it matches its competitor's tow ratings as a full sized truck. In the interior, you will enjoy more comfort due to the noticeably spaciousness. Passengers will also enjoy the same amenities. In a proposition to expand the appeal of the Tundra, Toyota has provided additional equipment packages that are specialized to the user. This includes the off road version of the TRD Pro and the luxury version that has a ranch theme. In 2016, Toyota came out with the newer version of the Tundra. It still had full size capacity, but more serious performance off the road. It has powerful V8 powertrains as well as conventional rear doors and a spacious double cab. The fuel economy is not above average in one respect, but the spaciousness of the ride on tight roads overcomes some of its inabilities.
Every Toyota Tundra for the year 2016 will have electronic interface upgrades. The trim levels have a much bigger gas tank and integrated brake control, pretty much like a trailer. The front end has received a slight revision and an option for off road package selection. The Toyota Tundra performance parts are superior to some of its competitors. However, some of the other trucks such as GM, RAM and Ford outweigh its capacity for more power. The Tundra is manufactured in Texas, though it is connected to a Japanese company. The revisions done two years ago by Toyota give the Tundra an improvement in the cabin structure and its updated features make the remodel a competitive option, but not enough to repair some of the little flaws. In comparison, for example, the body of the Ford F-150 is lighter and the engines more powerful than the Tundra. The RAM 1500 comes with a smoother coil spring suspension and more efficient V6 diesel engine. The revised Chevrolet Silverado wasn't as innovative. However, it had increments of improvements to its many features, allowing the driver to keep up appearance with the Joneses.
Yes, the Tundra has nice V8 engines that will get the job done. However, it trails its competition in more ways than one, especially as it relates to fuel economy. The Toyota Tundra does not have a smooth ride as the RAM and Ford F-150. You can feel the bumps in the road while driving in the cabin. Other than that, it is fairly decent for hauling and towing and its safety equipment is standard, but good enough.
