Ford Taurus

Reading any of the recent Ford Taurus reviews is one of the best ways to understand the public's love for this automobile. The Ford Taurus was heralded as the beginning of a new era in automobile design when the first model was launched in 1986. It is twin to the Mercury Sable, and the Taurus was also the answer for consumers wanting an American car as an alternative to other Japanese cars in the market.

The Ford Taurus was a strong contender in the line of sedans offered by the Ford Motor Company from the time it was introduced. The automobile was given an even better design in 1992 and another significant change to the car's shape was also unveiled in 1996. However, the 1996 design had mixed reviews when consumers saw the Ford Taurus for sale. Ford had decided to make much of the interior and exterior of this car oval-shaped. For example, some buyers had problems upgrading the oval-shaped radio to another aftermarket stereo.

Ford designed the Ford Taurus with the same high level of design as the brand's other automobiles. Two body styles were offered for buyers. The first body style was the sedan and the second, a wagon style. There were various options available. For example, consumers were able to choose from 1998 models with either a 3.0-liter V6 engine or a 3.4-liter V8 engine. Ford placed a 3.4-liter V8 engine in the Ford Taurus Super High Output or SHO models. The body style was restyled significantly in 2000 with many of the oval-shaped design features removed from both the interior and exterior of the car. This new designed showed Ford had listened to consumer feedback and made adjustments accordingly. Some of the design features of the new 2000 Ford Taurus mpg included a flatter rear deck lid with improved tail lights and a new headlamp housing closely resembling the design of the latest Ford Focus. The year 2000 was also significant for the Ford Taurus as this was the last time the SHO model was offered to consumers by the Ford Motor Company.

Ford would continue to make changes by also renaming the brand to replace the Ford Taurus with the F-500 series. After 2005, only the sedan body style was offered to car buyers until 2007. Another year of production was reserved for fleet sales until 2008. The F-500 series was once again rebranded as the Ford Taurus in 2008. With the new name, the love of the consumer towards the design style of the Ford Taurus was revitalized and it once again became the flagship sedan for the Ford brand. The 2008 model boasted a 263-horsepower engine and had a six-speed automatic transmission. This was in contrast to the 206-horsepower V6 engine included in the F-500. The front-end corporate grille was also revised with better suspension tuning. This time was also significant for Ford Taurus automobiles as Ford brought back the SHO model using the sedan body-style. The SHO model contained a 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine capable of 365 horsepower. Overall, Ford released a current generation of automobiles which were a more comfortable ride. With such an impressive specs, consumers should read more about the Ford Taurus and search for 2016 Ford Taurus parts at a parts website such as PartsGeek.com for everything they need.

Product was received nicely packaged. appeared well constructed. Fit my car perfectly. The only issued I had was that the supplied clamps were too big and a bit cheesy to be of any use with the installation. Not really a problem since the original clamps were in perfect condition, and used instead.. This is the second time I ordered, and received a part from PartsGeek. And I am very happy with the products
