Chevrolet Tahoe

The Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV that is similar to the GMC Yukon. In the early 1990s Chevrolet and GMC sold two different sized SUVs using the Blazer/Jimmy models, but that changed in 1992 when the Yukon replaced the full-size Jimmy. It wasn't until 1995 that Chevrolet made the decision to redesign the full-size Blazer into the Tahoe.

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Tahoe is one of the best vehicles in its class. The Chevrolet Tahoe is one of General Motors' full-size SUVs and includes a model with a lengthened wheelbase. The 2014 Tahoe was U.S. News and World Report's top-ranked Affordable Large SUV in February 2014. Motor Trend Magazine nominated the Tahoe as Truck of the Year in 1996.

With all the changes GM made to the Tahoe, there is little doubt it is an extremely popular model. This interest can be shown clearly with the 108 percent increase in sales that became apparent once the 2015 Tahoe went on sale in February 2014. Most dealerships reported the number of units sold within 17 days after arrival on their lots; most customers preferred the fully loaded LTZ model making it a fast selling brand in 2014 alongside the Suburban.

More upgraded changes and new features appeared in the 2016 model year. Some of the changes included power-adjustable pedals, a safety alert seat, forward collision alert, and IntelliBeam headlamps. The inside floor console was also revamped with the elimination of a storage area-SD reader which officially ended the era of the CD player for the Tahoe. Chevrolet announced on May 27, 2015 that both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Capability features would be standard equipment on the 2016 Tahoe. On the down side, only one of the phone brands could be used at any one time.

In the fall of 2007 the first hybrid Tahoe made its debut, and January 2008 saw a beginning sales price of $50,540, and $51,405 for the 2009 model. The vehicle has a two-mode Hybrid system that makes it possible to run on electricity, gasoline, or a combination of the two. The Tahoe Hybrid is considered a full hybrid that is capable of running entirely on the battery at low speeds. The hybrid model was discontinued after the 2013 model year, a point at which GM made efforts to manufacture more fuel efficient SUVs with its introduction of the EcoTec engine. This type engine was installed in the 2015 Tahoe and Yukon models.

With the various changes that have occurred in the Tahoe choosing Chevy Tahoe aftermarket parts can be challenging. The year is extremely important; in other words, 2002 Chevy Tahoe parts or Chevy Tahoe parts 2001 are important search terms. The key to keeping your Tahoe in top condition is ensuring you choose quality Chevy Tahoe aftermarket parts.
