Toyota Camry

If the same old ride is leaving you indifferent to the pleasures of driving, the exhilarating performance of the Toyota Camry may well rekindle that love affair you once had with the road. Test drive one and experience what true power and true spirit means.

Because of its relatively low-price entry point, the Toyota Camry has become the number one choice among economy-minded Americans. With continuous improvements made on its cabin quality and handling, this car outshines the other vehicles in its class. However, an increasing number of Toyota owners have complained that their Camry seem to be consuming more oil than normal. The first sign of this problem is when the "check engine oil" light come on before it's due for its oil maintenance schedule. You might also notice that your car's engine is burning through as much as 1 quart of oil in 1,200 miles. If you encounter either or both of these situations, then your vehicle is burning too much engine oil. Oil consumption depends on the valve guides and piston rings. If either of these components are worn or damaged, or if there's too much clearance between the valve stems and guides, then your car's engine will suck oil down the guides and into the cylinders. While the engine may still have good compression, it will still waste a lot of oil. To find the best replacements for worn or damaged valve guides and piston rings, consult your Toyota Camry parts catalog.

From a styling perspective, the first model of the Toyota Camry, manufactured in 1983, was not exactly ugly, but didn't get any wolf whistles either. It was, however, functional, with slim roof pillars and plenty of windows for great outward visibility. 1987 brought an improved design. In addition to increased muscle came a new body that, while still conservative, was sleeker and looked more upscale than the previous generation. It also featured the new All-Trac, which provided additional grip for those who lived in rainy areas where driving conditions were often slippery. The redesigned 1992 Camry grew in length, width, height, and wheelbase. In addition to providing more room for occupants, it was more pleasing to the eye as well. In 1997, the new body style traded the curves of the previous generation for sharp angles on a wedge-like profile. In 2000 the simple addition of a chrome outline for the grille brought the nose uptown, and enlarged taillights adorned the tail. In 2007, styling was radically changed, with the previous model's smooth body style traded in favor of a more angular and distinctive form.

Because of the tremendous value this sedan offers, Camry has become one of the best-selling vehicles in the United States. It is not only a great car but it is a fantastic bargain, winning 2009's U.S. News' Best Car for the Money award in the midsize car class. A car like this deserves high-quality Toyota Camry OEM or Toyota Camry aftermarket parts. Whether you're looking for headlights, mufflers, or a catalytic converter, you always get the right set of Toyota parts to restore or improve your Camry's performance at PartsGeek.com.
