Mazda B2600

Though not a name typically associated with trucks, Mazda still plowed ahead to create its B-series truck line, which included the B2600 model. Since Mazda did not normally make trucks, the B-series all handled and had the smooth ride of cars, which raised this line's popularity, but some claimed that the line didn't have enough power for hauling and other truck tasks. Mazda then created a vehicle with a larger, 2.6-liter engine, and the Mazda B2600 was born. This truck delivered on consumer demands, with a more powerful engine and a 4-wheel drive option. Mazda created a happy medium in the Mazda B2600: a truck with enough power and a smoother, more car-like ride.

The B2600 model only lasted from 1986 through 1993, with two variations on a 2.6-liter engine. After 1989, the truck was known as the Mazda B2600i, to indicate that it used the new fuel-injected engine rather than the older carbureted one. Both versions of the B2600 could be purchased with an extended cab or a regular cab, and transmission options included a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual, but these choices were just the beginning. Aside from these body and transmission choices, drivers could also choose from a trio of trim levels that added creature comforts such as air conditioning or a radio.

The sportiest trim level with the most pep was the SE5, which was instantly recognizable by a long stripe along the side of the exterior of the truck. This trim package also included a rear step bumper and an AM/FM radio. The LX, high-end trim level, had standard air conditioning, interior chrome trim, power brakes, cruise control, and more. The base model lacked any additional features. All years, including 1991, Mazda B2600i 4x4 parts included mud-guards, flares on the fenders, and a steering wheel with three spokes. These extra features made the 4x4 B2600 stand out among the other B-series trucks from Mazda.

Though a well-made truck, the Mazda B2600 is among a group of working vehicles that likely do not last long unless they are well-cared for. Some of the model years had issues. For instance, 1993 Mazda B2600i problem parts have included distributor issues and stuck thermostats. These are just a couple of the issues reported from Mazda B2600 trucks, but such minor problems should not be unexpected with a vehicle that is over 25 years old. Generally, the B2600 and Mazda B2600i engine parts and other components were well-made and remain in working condition years later, as long as the engine and truck have been maintained.

New and used Mazda B2600 parts are not hard to find. Rather than relying on brick-and-mortar stores, check out the wider selection available at online outlets such as PartsGeek.com. 1993 Mazda b2600 blower motor resistor was an exact fit and worked perfectly.

Reviewer: Impressed with the exact parts

This part was exactly the same as the part on the truck, as well as the same part in the picture. I cannot be more impressed with parts geek as a company because it doesn't compare to other parts stores. You research what you need to buy, then buy it. You don't have a person telling you its the right part, then being given the wrong part. I can only say great things about these parts.

Reviewer: Quality, Impressed from buying offline.

I love that parts geek gave the exact picture of the part. To me its annoying to start buying offline and you see the wrong picture and doubt whether you buying the right part. Intially when I installed this, I thought I had a bad one and I had a ton of air in my clutch system. Just keep loosening and tightening the bleed screw while someone is pumping. Also make sure your fluid doesn't get now or air will go back in the system.

Reviewer: Part fit perfect!

I had no mirror and couldn't not see on my right side when I was hauling things.I bought this, perfect fit. Screw set came with the mirror that go on the inside of the door through to the mirror holes.

The 1993 Mazda b2600 Bosch fuel pump with strainer did not include the nuts for the screws or the rubber base that secures it to the fuel sending unit. Other than that it worked fine.
