Shop Jeep Wrangler Replacement Transmission Mount
The Jeep Wrangler is a rugged sport utility vehicle that can be used in the toughest areas. The roads can be rough sometimes and many Wrangler owners do not stick to the roads. If this vehicle has automatic transmission then it will also have a transmission mount. The transmission is connected to the engine and without a mount it would move when it is used. Transmission movement can cause damage to the engine, the transmission, or the frame of the Wrangler.
The transmission mount has simple construction consisting of two pieces of metal and some rubber. One metal piece is secured to the transmission and the other is bolted to the body. The rubber sits between these two pieces and absorbs bumps and vibrations from the transmission. This keeps the ride inside the Wrangler smooth and the transmission in the right place. Worn or broken mounts should be replaced immediately.

OEM replacement part fit perfectly as expected. Install was straight forward. I did have to loosen the bolts on the gas tank protection in order to pull the cross member down far enough to swap the mounts out. I had a pretty good vibration through the vehicle, especially at idle. The old mount appeared to be ok from a visual inspection under the Jeep but once it came off, the center rubber pad was worn down and the metal was touching on one side. Replacing the transmission mount took care of the problem. - OEM transmission mount replacement took car of vibration issue
Bought this as my 97 Jeep Wrangler Sport was hopping/bucking when I let out the clutch. Noticed it real bad when in first gear from a stop. Replaced it with this mount and Jeep has never run better. Bolted right in and was a perfect fit. Identical to the OEM part. - Works Great/Perfect Fit
