Research on Tail Light for Nissan Titan

What good is a pickup truck if it doesn't have the visibility needed to be safe? Your ride might be bigger than most, but other drivers need to see you if conditions are less than optimal. The truck might have little use in the rain or fog, or even at night, if it doesn't have the required lighting. A broken tail light can even get you pulled over by police and fined. You can eliminate all of these issues by replacing it, which is not that expensive to do considering how much value it restores to your vehicle.

Why a Tail Light May Stop Working

There are many reasons. Even if you have longer lasting Nissan Titan LED tail lights, a bulb can go out. Changing a bulb is perhaps the least expensive fix on a vehicle. Other issues range from bad fuses, detached or corroded wires, to cracked lenses and collision damage. If the Nissan Titan tail light bulb looks fine when you remove the lens, the problem can be with the wiring, socket, or other electrical component, perhaps elsewhere in the vehicle. Your tail light assembly has running lights, brake lights, and turn signals. There are several points for failure and even cracked Nissan Titan tail light covers can cause problems, especially if water gets inside.

What Is the Use of Tail Lights?

Tail lights come in pairs at the rear of the vehicle. Regulations govern the red color of the rear lighting and the yellow color of turn signal lights. Rear tail light assemblies also have reverse lights, which are required to shine brighter. There is a park light as well. It maximizes visibility in darkness, rain, or fog and doubles as a brake light. The lighting that activates does so automatically based on the actions of the driver. For example, the brake lights come on as soon as you step on the brake pedal. If you suddenly find the Nissan Tail lights not working, several key functions can be lost.

How Do You Change a Tail Light Bulb?

To change a tail light bulb in a Nissan Titan, you will need a socket wrench to remove the fasteners that hold the assembly in place. The bulbs can be accessed once the tail light assembly is removed from its housing. Take the bulb out of the rear of the assembly and insert the new one. You'll also need the proper pushpins and align the assembly with the appropriate holes. The assembly is reinstalled this way and when you re-secure the screws with the socket wrench.

Cost of a Tail Light

Whether you need a tail light or a Nissan Titan 3rd brake light, you have no choice but to fit the bill. Fortunately, automotive lighting is not expensive. You can spend more for higher end 2008 Nissan Titan tail lights, but most assemblies can be purchased for under $50 each. At PartsGeek.com, they may be even less, thanks to low overhead and an intent to pass on such savings to customers. There are really no excuses to wait on replacing a tail light with these low prices.

The Tail Light Assembly was broken when I received it. It had a small 3/16" x 3/8" piece broken off on the top left corner of the assembly. I was able to use superglue to attach the broken piece. I did not want to waste my time and money sending it back. Otherwise the assembly was OK.
