A Buick Park Avenue isn't simply a car or truck, it's a way of life. Mid-size vehicles including the Buick Park Avenue are often chosen by moms since they provide superior comfort and their safety features. For lavish designs at a less expensive price, vehicle buyers turn to Buick to meet their vehicle wishes. The Buick Park Avenue often uses potentially expensive mechanic work, so it is best to do everything in your power to keep up maintenance on your great car. Buick is a quality creator of reliable autos that combine affordability with above average style. Keep in mind that if you drive an off-road toy, it is possible to create problems when off-roading and replacement parts aren't always cheap on a type of car such as the Buick Park Avenue. If an issue develops or a part needs to be fixed, don't economize with a weak or unreliable part. That Buick Park Avenue deserves genuine OEM and aftermarket parts to come through with its full performance. When in search of impact resistance, style and budget-friendly pricing, automobiles produced by Buick really deliver. Whether you race or just appreciate driving a high-performance vehicle, top quality parts are vital. Your car has a place in your heart because it has high performance and awesome style, and to have it purring along in its best condition you'll want the best in high-quality parts. Shocks come in two basic forms: spring shock absorbers which use coil springs, and torsion-based dampers which employ a torsion spring. Buick Park Avenue Shocks operate as heavy coil springs which look like hydraulic pistons, shifting oil from one chamber to another which cushions swaying as the vehicle moves. Correctly working Buick Park Avenue Shocks provide increased suspension stability and augment the maneuverability of the vehicle. Buick Park Avenue Shocks contain a metal coil mounted within a cylinder that supports a car or truck's suspension. Quality Buick Park Avenue Shocks dampen motion from dips on the street to deliver a smoother drive.

Research on Shocks for Buick Park Avenue

Buick Park Avenue Shocks

Your Buick Park Avenue has taken you a lot of places and helped you carry many loads. That’s because Buick crafts their cars with excellent engineering and quality care. And if your car is built with this level of care, shouldn’t it be serviced and maintained in the same way? Getting high quality replacement parts for your Buick Park Avenue just means a longer-lasting car and a longer-lasting investment well made. Shocks are an integral part of any car, and should definitely be replaced when they show signs of wear. When your shocks are working properly, they will provide increased suspension stability and augment the maneuverability of your car.

What is a Buick Park Avenue Shock?

Much as their name implies, Buick Park Avenue Shocks are used to absorb shock. There are two kinds of shocks: spring shock absorbers that use coil springs, and torsion-based dampers which employ a torsion spring. They look similar to hydraulic pistons, and contain a metal coil mounted within a cylinder that supports the car’s suspension. They act by shifting oil from one chamber to another, cushioning the swaying of your vehicle as you drive.

How much is a new Buick Park Avenue Shock?

Prices can vary depending on a number of factors, like the year, make and model of the vehicle you’re purchasing for. Other factors may apply as well. Most shocks on ParksGeek.com will cost anywhere between $60 to $100.

What are the signs my shocks are failing?

There are several signs you’ll notice when the shocks are bad. Your car may start vibrate while driving, as every bump in the road can cause faulty shocks to overcompensate. This happens when the piston seal is broken and loses control over the flow of fluid. Other problems that can arise is swerving when making turns, nose diving or longer times when braking, leaking, or cracked busing. If your car starts to show any of these symptoms, it might be time to replace the shocks.

Shocks available for the following Buick Park Avenue years: 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01, 00, 99, 98, 97. Was looking for a cheaper way to fix my air shocks. I bought the car new in 99 and it now has 206000 miles but still rides better than most new cars and has lots more room. The ride is almost as good as the air ride and cant tell any difference in the handling. I'm not a mechanic and it just took about an hour and a half to do the swap. - ron smith 123

I was having a problem with my factory rear air shocks. The compressor was bad and shocks were starting to leak. A buddy suggested Monroe rear conversion kit for a very reasonable price. This eliminated the need for a very costly compressor and provided excellent replacement shocks. Rides great now. - Jeff / air shock conversion kit
