A Toyota 4Runner will undoubtedly be subjected to extreme conditions over the lifetime of the vehicle and so quality aftermarket and OEM parts are vital to trouble-free operation. People who want the most out of their vehicle know that only top quality OEM and aftermarket parts should be used. To add to the horsepower of your vehicle's engine, purchase a selection of these optional add-ons that are custom built to raise performance. The Toyota 4Runner Pitman Arm works with the vehicle's idler arm to make the proper motion that is needed to turn the car's wheel. As your vehicle gets older, a Pitman Arm may begin to experience wear and will need to be replaced. By a straightforward mechanical linkage, your car's Pitman Arm changes the action of turning the steering wheel into a side-to-side force which can turn the front wheels. If a car's Pitman Arm breaks, your car may start to feel unresponsive. The car or truck's Pitman Arm is a mechanism of the steering system. Very Satisfied
Reviewer: Excellent Pitman Arm

I bought this MOOG pitman arm for my 1989 Toyota 4Runner. I did some internet searches prior to buying and MOOG kept coming up as a quality product and that convinced me to buy this item. This MOOG pitman arm is a heavy duty, quality product and is an almost identical match to the original part. The only difference was that the shaft, that goes into the steering parts, was just a little longer than the original but it didnít make a difference. It was very easy to install. But my advice would be: 1. Use some type of marking device (paint, permanent marker, chalk, etc) on the old pitman arm and steering box before taking off the old pitman arm. Then hold together the two pitman arms (old and new) and mark the new one where the old one is marked. This will help ensure the new pitman arm goes back on in the exact place to keep your steering wheel centered. 2. Put some anti-seeze on the steering box shaft before installing the new pitman arm to make it easier to take off in the future.
