Car or truck enthusiasts who thrill over performance car or trucks recognize that absolutely nothing is more vital than having the best aftermarket parts and accessories. Your Hyundai Tiburon Clutch is an essential part of your transmission system allowing the current gear to be disengaged from the vehicle's driveshaft to enable an additional larger or smaller gear to be engaged. While the clutch is a long-lasting system, after heavy use the internal components can cease to work and will require replacement. A functional Hyundai Tiburon Clutch switches gears by utilizing the engine flywheel and friction disks; if the clutch is engaged, the flywheel and clutch plate become disjointed, disconnecting the vehicle's engine from the wheels which allows the engine to turn free. First start up your car, set the parking brake and then put the car in neutral. Now as your car is on idling without pressing the clutch listen for any growling noise. If you hear something there may be a problem with the transmission. If you don't hear anything then keep your car on neutral, slowly push down the clutch and listen for noise. While doing this if you hear a chirping noise there is a problem with your clutch release or a throw-out bearing. If there was no noise move on to the final step. Now push the clutch all the way. If there is a squealing noise, then there is a problem with the pilot bearing or bushing. If you did not hear any noise during all the steps the there is no problem with your clutch.

I ordered this LUK Clutch Kit, and the corresponding LUK flywheel. If anyone out there is wondering if these parts are match, I can tell report that YES, they are, having had them both installed and successfully tested. The result is that my 2008 Tiburon shifts with assurance, predictability, and hopefully, longevity! The shop who installed it seemed impressed that I was able to bring them LUK parts with on such short order (they apparently have difficulty sourcing them). The parts arrived well-packaged, still in the wrapper. The shop had no trouble installing them.

I gave this clutch kit & the flywheel a lengthy (150 or so mile) test drive the day after installation, which included at least a half-hour of stop & go business due to an unexpected construction delay. The new clutch did great.

BTW, this part was out of stock when I first located it, so I called. They responded quickly; told me to check back. I did, and within a day or two, it was in stock.
