Power Steering Pump Reviews - 2006 Scion xA
A1 Cardone | 21-5242

I will start by saying that I recommend always buying OEM parts, but the price was right and my client was looking to save some money. The part is installed and now the power steering is working so I can't complain too much, but the installable was a minor nightmare. The pump did not exactly match the manufacturer dimensions. When I installed the pump the pulley rubbed on the bracket so hard it couldn't turn, I thought it could be my bracket was damaged so I took it back out and checked is dimensions, the shaft of the pulley was slightly shorter. I reinstalled the new one and got my mini sledge hammer out (my best friend) and I was able to bend the bracket just enough to clear the pulley, it only needs about 2 or 3mm (1/16"). It works great now
