Spare Tire Hoist Reviews - 2006 Ford F350 Super Duty
Dorman | 924-528

First off, this was super easy to install. There are two bolts that hold it in, easily accessible, regular socket wrench is all it takes. The part I received came with the cable bound somehow in the mechanism so I had to install, remove, fix the cable, and re-install. That was annoying to say the least. You are not taking this thing apart, it is held together by rivets or whatever, so I think I just got lucky otherwise I would not have been a happy customer. I think when the part was put together, the cable was caught or pinched somehow and prevented it from going up and down when the wheel is turned. I loosened it up, and pulled the heck out of it until it gave way and dislodged from the bind. A simple quality control would have discovered this issue, but oh well it happens. Gets 4 stars because it was SO easy to install and I was able to fix it and it worked great after that. Also gets 4 because I don't have a spare tire in the bed of my truck anymore so it did solve the problem.
