Product appears to be of a good quality (time will tell) and install should have been quite simple on a 11 year old 325xiT. I'm not a mechanic by trade but do like to save $$$ where I can. This job didn't seem to need any special tools but there were warnings out there on the possibility of breaking the knuckle/strut bolt....which I did (despite the liquid wrench soaking). It more than quadrupled the time to complete. After breaking the head off the bolt I had to drill it through. Wasn't easy, but that also wasn't the end of the struggle. I couldn't get some of the bolt out which (apparently) was enough to keep the knuckle from falling. One thing I didn't know is that the shock shaft is notched and the bolt that attaches it to the knuckle helps keep it in place if it were to come lose (but not fall out). It took me some time to figure this out which is where 50% of the time spent on this job went (40% to drilling and 10% to the actual work).

The hard part was getting the old one out. New one went in perfect. It's worth noting that the axle nut is 32mm vs the original part which was 36mm.
