Fast shipping great service great product. Will recommend to others.
The 2001 Lincoln Town Car Air Spring to Coil Spring Conversion Kit worked great. The car has never driven better. Now I don't have to listen to that constant noise of the system trying to maintain itself. It took me about 4 hours to complete the job, but a lot of time was used trying to be too careful removing parts. If you are doing this job you should remember that you are discarding the old parts and not act as if you are going to reuse them. I recommend cutting the top two shock nuts with a Saws-all fitted with a long metal cutting blade. I also had to stab the left air coil (pretty dangerous) to remove it. I had no lift and did everything with jack stands. This limited my ability to reach solenoids.
Car rides like a dream, glad to have gotten rid of the air shocks.
This kit is absolutely a better alternative than the original air system. I haul around two kids everyday and they prefer the ride of the kit over the original air ride. Believe me -- if the ride was worse the WOULD complain. No worries here. Cost me two hours labor at my favorite shop or you can do it yourself. I am very happy. Thanks
works really well! better ride than the failing airbags.
Well, my 2000 Lincoln had been sagging in the back for a while and the compressor was constantly running. After researching the coil replacements on-line and watching a few online videos, I finally purchased the Monroe coils and shocks from Parts Geek. Could not find this combination on line anywhere for less money... and FREE shipping! I put the coils on, by myself, in my driveway, in about an hour. The instructions were very accurate and specific to different model vehicles that use the old air suspension set up. I was worried that the coils would make the back end sit up too high. This is not the case, the rear height matches the front perfectly. I am extremely happy with the new coils.
