The vehicle's Ignition Switch Actuator Pin can usually be found in a mechanism called the ignition lock cylinder. A malfunctioning Ignition Switch Actuator Pin will usually fail to send an electrical signal to the starter. Jeep Wranglers from the years '97, '98, '99, '00, '01, '02, '03, '04, '05 and '06 will work with this component. Different vehicles are unlikely to be compatible, so this part is not designed to be used in those models.

This is a common problem on jeeps, you have to buy the whole column from jeep which is on back order since sept 2012, came to parts geek, they had the part in stock placed the order and had the part in a few days, very satisfied!!
