Replacement Tailgate Net Information

According to some sources, lowering or removing the tailgate on a truck bed can reduce the drag on the truck and increase the vehicle's fuel efficiency. (Other sources contend that the closed tailgate helps to create a vortex of air the truck bed, which actually decreases the air drag and increases fuel efficiency.) Those that believe that lowering the truck's tailgate improves efficiency still face another problem: without the tailgate, loads in the truck can slide out of the truck bed. Tailgate nets solve the problem of drag in the truck's bed because they are perforated to allow air to flow through the net. At the same time, the tailgate net can restrain any cargo that happens to be sliding around in the truck bed. Some truck owners replace their tailgates with nets because they consider the nets more attractive. Although most nets are shaped like simple black rectangular grids, decorative nets are also available. These may be patterned with skull shapes or the shape of the American flag. Not all tailgate nets are equal; some nets are not rated to retain a load. Even the strongest nets are still weaker than the original metal tailgate, so some truck owners forgo the nets. Instead of installing a tailgate net, they install a perforated metal tailgate. These metal tailgates are built like fences, so that they are strong enough to retain a load while still allowing air to flow through the tailgate. Even these super-strong tailgates will have one drawback when compared to the original tailgate: they will allow loads of granular material such as sand or dirt to slip through the holes. This can be prevented by putting a tarpaulin in the truck bed before adding the load. Tailgate nets are usually installed using hooks or adjustable straps which hook through the holes that were originally used to latch the tailgate. For some tailgate nets, it may be necessary to drill new holes in the sides of the truck in order to install the net.

pricing good,quality good,purchase easy,prompt delivery
this tailgate net gave my truck a total new look. just to remind you. it is not for support any load. just for performance and a better look.
WORKS WELL EZ INSTALL kind of a pain to take down temporarily to take stuff in and out,
The shipping was quick, very easy to install, i had to use two sheet metal screws because i could not get nut on because of the construction on my 2010 toyota tundra (no fault of Pro Net). The hardware works fine and the fasteners work great, you won't be disappointed.
I bought the expensive model because the one I bought at an auto parts store on the instructions said for performance only not to hold cargo The Pro Net said nothing about performance only except again in the instrucions. It would be helpful to know that up front.
