1968-1972 Mercedes 280SE Fuel Pump - Bosch W0133-1830737
A Bosch Fuel Pump can be used on Mercedes 280SEs of model years 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972. The Fuel Pump is a piece of equipment that operates to draw fuel out of the tank into the motor. A Fuel Pump creates pressure in the fuel system to force gasoline out of the gas tank into the motor. Because electronic fuel injectors have largely supplanted old-fashioned carburetion systems, current Fuel Pumps have to feed fuel under pressure; they are therefore electronic. A Fuel Pump delivers liquid fuel from the fuel tank to your automobile's fuel injectors, where it's combined with air for use in the cylinders. Most Fuel Pumps are placed inside the gas tank; because liquid gasoline is not flammable, this is the safest location for installation. Mercedes 280SEs from the years 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972 are compatible with this Fuel Pump. Other cars or trucks probably will not be compatible, so this Fuel Pump is not intended to be used on those models.
