The front left strut on the BMW X5 is an essential part of the vehicle's handling and safety. Over time, it can become worn and can result in a rough, bouncy ride and poor handling. Struts should be inspected regularly and replaced if necessary. For strut replacement, it is absolutely vital to also replace the front bump stop, which is a cream-colored stiff rubber piece that is about 3" long, and slides over the actual shaft of the strut.
