Subaru Outback

The Subaru Outback debuted in the United States market in 1994 as an altered copy of the second generation Subaru Legacy. Subaru extended the Legacy design by adding side body cladding and raising the suspension. Excepting minor differences in trim, the Outback shared almost all of its components with the Legacy model. The second generation of Outback, released in 1999, followed the same formula as the original. The updated version shared similar mechanics and dimensions, but with the Outback title now specified for most markets outside Europe and Japan. The 2014 model marked a change in marketing strategy, with the Legacy becoming available only as a sedan, and the Outback exclusively as a wagon. The differences between the two vehicles was limited to the change in body style, ground clearance, and trim. The Outback boasts a roomy and comfortable interior, a 36-cubic-foot cargo hold, and standard all-wheel drive. The rear seats can be folded completely flat. Despite its plastic exterior trim and enhanced ride height, the Outback drives like the Legacy sedan, with well-controlled body roll and accurate steering.

As agreeable as the four-cylinder engine and CT can be in normal driving, the combination leaves drivers wanting in the speed department. Simply put, it's a slow machine, even though the CVT avoids many of the problems and setbacks that typically plague this type of transmission. The powertrain is smooth and willing, delivering an acceptable if unremarkable fuel economy. Although it's not going to win any races, the Subaru Outback is more than qualified for family duty, off-road adventuring, or supporting an active lifestyle with its cargo hold and roof rails. But the engine is subdued, with very little noise penetrating the cabin. The muffled sounds coming from under the hood are just enough to let you know the engine is running. But if you don't hear those muffled sounds, you could have a problem with your radiator, which is the part that keeps your engine from overheating. It's important to keep coolant inside of it and flush it out periodically to ensure it is running as smoothly as possible. If your radiator breaks, you run the risk of your engine overheating and there may be a lot of expensive repairs. Whether you need an entire radiator for your Subaru Outback or merely some parts to repair it, PartsGeek.com has you covered. The coolant system in your Subaru is very important and you don't want to leave bad parts under the hood.

Many owners like their Subaru Outback because it has some of the advantages of the SUV but handles as easily as a car. However, no matter how reliable your Outback is, several of its parts will eventually need replacing during its lifetime of regular use. Thanks to high-quality Subaru Outback OEM and aftermarket parts available at PartsGeek, Subaru Outback repair, maintenance, and upgrade is ridiculously easy. So don't worry if you discover that one of the components of your Outback needs replacement because PartsGeek will hook you up with affordable, quality Subaru Outback replacement parts.

The product is fine and works perfectly. A temporary problem was priming the pump, which had to be done by applying air pressure (from my lungs) to the windshield washer reservoir.

Like the second washer pump I bought, this one works just fine. It had to be primed by air pressure to the windshield washer reservoir to get it going, but now it gives a great spray of water.
