Mercedes 300CD Replacement Window Switch Information
Power windows begin powering up when the 300CD Mercedes window switch is flicked. Necessary to initiate the power window process, the 300CD Mercedes window switch has to perform flawlessly to match the other world class parts in this luxury leading sedan. A simple, yet elegantly designed part, the window switch is a toggle device turning the window motor on or off. Toggling on the switch means the motor is sending 12-volt electricity to the window regulator.
As the 300CD Mercedes window switch is turned on it activates the window motor which powers the regulator adjusting voltage to power gears and pulleys operating power windows at different speeds. The window switch has to work or the windows are going nowhere. The Mercedes 300CD is a luxury executive sedan produced from 1977 to 1985. If the switch shorts out or otherwise fails, owners replace it as soon as possible to keep power windows working.
