A Porsche 944 window regulator allows the window to be raised or lowered. Since people use the windows in their vehicles so frequently, the window regulator commonly wears out. The spur gears and worm gear work together to power a rotation to move the window. In a Porsche 944, the window regulator can be replaced by removing the regulator assembly from the door. There is a vent on the end of the door which will allow a clear view. While the assembly is out, wheel bearing grease or lithium grease can be used to lubricate the mechanism to ensure smooth and reliable performance.
