GMC Sierra Denali Replacement Window Motor Information
The up and down movement of your GMC Sierra Denali's automatic windows are made possible by the window motor. A tiny electrical part, the Sierra GMC Denali window motor works off the serpentine belt. The motor kicks in the window regulator, which is a worm reduction device that downsizes the motor's 12-volt electrical in four volt increments to move windows up and down according to use of the toggle switch. Nothing gets done, however, without the window motor starting the process.
Rather than risk a sticking power window that can't be operated, drivers makes sure the Sierra GMC Denali window motor is in good shape. Being an electrical part, it could short out of otherwise fail. The GMC Sierra Denali is an upscale full-size pickup truck produced from 2002 to 2007. If you want to be able to move your automatic windows up and down you may need look into replacing the window motor.
