Mitsubishi Diamante Replacement Transmission Mount Information
Most car manufacturers offer automatic transmission on their vehicles. This feature is especially popular in the United States. The Mitsubishi Diamante is one car that offers automatic transmission. The addition of this system requires a transmission mount to keep the engine and transmission safe and in place. The mount is sturdy and it is made of two pieces of metal and some rubber. One piece of metal is bolted to the transmission and the other is secured to the frame.
The pieces of metal that make up the mount have rubber between them. This helps absorb the vibrations caused by the motion of the transmission. Drivers have a smoother ride because of this layer of rubber and the mount holds up better against wear. Age and use can cause these mounts to crack and fail.
