Cadillac CTS Replacement Transmission Mount Information
The Cadillac CTS is one of the most popular luxury cars in the world and it was introduced in 2002. This car is still in production and remains a top seller for Cadillac. One popular feature of the CTS is the optional automatic transmission. Drivers that use an automatic transmission need to have a transmission mount for stability. Transmissions that are not properly secured can move around under the hood and damage other parts like the engine or the radiator. The transmission mount secures the transmission with two large pieces of steel. The metal parts are individually attached to the transmission and the body of the CTS. The mount also makes use of a rubber layer that is between the metal to absorb vibrations. Failing mounts will lead to a bumpier ride for the driver and could lead to engine damage.
