Saab 93 Replacement Timing Belt Tensioner Information
Your Saab 93's timing belt tensioner is the piece of equipment that keeps your timing belt taut. Without this degree of tension, your timing belt would not be able to synchronize the movement of your camshaft and your crankshaft. When your timing belt is operating properly, your camshaft rotates at exactly one half the speed of your crankshaft. This ensures that your engine's intake and exhaust valve open and close at precisely the right moment so that internal combustion can proceed optimally.
