Honda Pilot Replacement Timing Belt Tensioner Information
As with virtually all its counterparts, the timing belt tensioner on a Honda Pilot is as necessary as any other engine part. Without a timing belt tensioner the timing belt it monitors could easily go off course and create real motor havoc. The timing belt tensioner applies the correct amount of pressure needed to keep the timing belt on the straight and narrow. It is the wrong level of resistant force that contributes to timing belts' becoming too loose. Or, they can be damaged by too much tension being applied.
