Lexus RX300 Replacement Tie Rod Information
Tie rods are very important to the steering mechanism of your car. These metal pieces are attached on both ends of the steering rack. They control motion between components in motor vehicles. The tie rod basically transfers movement to the axles, causing the wheel to turn. If these components wear out, the steering will not work well. When the tie rods break, the front wheel is free to move in any direction, which will cause steering looseness. If this happens, you could be at risk of losing control of your car, resulting in an accident. The most common signs of a damaged tie rod include a shaky steering wheel, tires moving involuntarily, shaking in the steering on bumps, loose feeling in the steering, and tire wear. One of the most obvious symptoms is a knocking sound coming from the front end of your car.
