Kia Sedona Replacement Throttle Body Information
Your Kia Sedona's internal combustion engine needs three things to produce power: fuel, oxygen and a spark. The throttle body is the air valve that modulates air delivery to the fuel injection system so that oxygen can mix optimally with gasoline. Throttle bodies are designed as butterfly valves with a disc that obstructs air flow when it's closed. Many throttle bodies also help control air delivery when a vehicle is idling. Because throttle bottles are close to atomizing fuel, they tend to collect carbon residues. Over time, these residues can interfere with their efficiency. When a throttle body gets dirty, you'll notice that your Kia Sedona has difficulties idling at a constant speed.
