The Pontiac Trans Sport was a popular minivan that was designed to provide drivers with ample passenger space as well as a smooth and powerful ride. Some essential pieces of the suspension that provide a smooth ride are the struts. Struts are typically mounted near all four wheels of modern cars to provide superior shock absorbing power. The struts absorb shocks from bumpy roads and need to adapt to changes in any driving surface. Over time the struts can wear down and fail. All struts will weaken over time and strut problems can have negative effects on the tires, steering, and other areas of the Trans Sport. An increased amount of bumps and vibrations while driving can indicate a problem with the struts. They should be checked regularly for signs of wear.
