The characteristics of a well-engineered car include reliability as well as cutting-edge security technology, which come with every car and truck of the Chrysler family. Advanced concepts and skilled assembly are features of the Chrysler family of automobiles. Chrysler is a well-known designer of sporty automobiles that offer superior fuel efficiency and agile driving control. Economy cars like your sensible Chrysler Pacifica are designed to be kept in the best possible condition in order to keep on giving high levels of gas mileage. Because you drive a Chrysler, you have the satisfaction of outstanding craftsmanship, and that's a good feeling. A vehicle's performance is the result of many factors such as high quality parts. Because Chrysler Pacifica Struts give the suspension both shock damping as well as lateral support, they are considerably larger and better-reinforced than a typical coil spring. One of the vital parts of the suspension system is your Chrysler Pacifica Struts, which are basically shock absorbers mounted within coiled springs. Chrysler Pacifica Struts unite the function of the shock absorber and sideways support; this removes the necessity for an upper suspension arm.

They are available for the following Chrysler Pacifica years: 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 07, 06, 05, 04. This part is also sometimes called Chrysler Pacifica Shock. We stock struts parts for most Chrysler models including Town & Country, Sebring, 300, PT Cruiser, 300M, Concorde, Voyager, LHS, Cirrus, LeBaron, 200, New Yorker, Intrepid, Grand Voyager, Neon, Conquest, TC Maserati, Dynasty, Imperial, Laser, Daytona, E Class, Executive Limousine and Executive Sedan.

We stock these Struts brands for the Chrysler Pacifica: KYB, FCS Automotive, Moog and Monroe.

Research on Struts for Chrysler Pacifica

Your Chrysler Pacifica struts are important to your vehicle's overall suspension system. Without them, your drive can feel like you're riding a bull at the rodeo. Having your struts replaced when they are worn down will help keep your Pacifica (and your tires) healthy. It will also help you to avoid hitting your head every time you go over a set of train tracks.

The Function of the Struts

Think of your struts as your suspension's headquarters--where most parts of your suspension system are located, such as the coil springs. Just like a trampoline supports the weight of a human, the struts are supposed to support the weight of the vehicle--essentially, keeping your Chrysler Pacifica on the ground.

Knowing When to Replace Your Struts

When your struts start to go bad--you will notice. Paying close attention to your vehicle is key to preventing a strut catastrophe. Signs that your struts are in trouble include things such as:

o Constant tire wear: If your tires are consistently needing to be replaced or look worn down in a short period of time--your struts may be the root cause.

o Bouncy car: If your vehicle has a hard time settling down after hitting a pothole or bump--or it's just bouncy when you are driving--have the struts looked at.

o Leaky struts: This one may be a little more difficult to spot. Your struts are filled with hydraulic fluid and if there is a leak then your struts will need replacing.

o Steering wheel vibration: A vibrating steering wheel may be a sign that your wheels are cupping while you are driving. Cupping is usually caused by a damaged suspension system and the struts are most likely the culprit.

o Sinking Ship (or vehicle): If you notice a lot of bouncing or tire wear--during the day--take a look at your Pacifica. Does it look lower to the ground than usual or while your driving does it seem like it's dragging on the ground? This could be a sign that your struts are weakened or broken and can no longer hold up the weight of your vehicle. If this is the case--get them replaced immediately because this is relatively dangerous.

Keep in mind that if you have Chrysler Pacifica shocks those will need to be replaced. Remember, your Pacifica only shocks work closely with the coil springs so if they malfunction your coil springs are picking up the slack.

The Cost of New Struts

Your struts are located on the front end--on both sides--of your Pacifica and depending on the model there may also be a pair in the rear. Purchasing struts can be expensive. For example, replacing both struts and shocks on the front end of a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica can range anywhere between $670.00 to $ 900.00.
