Ford F150 Replacement Strut Mount Information
The Ford F150 Pickup, whether fitted with a standard or off road suspension, is fitted with shocks in the rear and struts in the front. These front struts are each affixed to the truck's body with a piece of equipment called a strut mount. Strut mounts are an important part of the suspension system, not only providing the anchor between the struts and the vehicle body, but also acting to reduce vibration and noise coming from the road. Being made from rubberized material bonded between two metal plates, they also function to smooth out bumps in the road, helping the struts do their job.
