Chevrolet Impala Replacement Starter Information
The starter is a very important component of your Chevy Impala. Without the starter, your Impala engine will not turn over at all and your car will not be able to move. The starter is generally a piece that fails due to normal wear and tear. Often times, you will notice the starter beginning to die well before it actually gives up. When you turn the key to start your Impala, you will hear a single click before the purr of the engine. That click is the starter sending a signal to the battery which in turn sends a shock of electricity to engage the starter ring on the engine. If you do not hear this click and your Impala does not start up, you will want to have the electrical system checked to ensure the battery and the alternator are functioning and to ensure the starter is the problem.
