Mazda RX7 Replacement Slave Cylinder Information
If the clutch pedal of your Mazda RX7 is stuck to the floor and when you look in the hydraulic fluid reservoir it's empty, chances are pretty good the problem is the clutch slave cylinder. It's not uncommon for this part to become corroded and start leaking and, although kits are available to fix it, the complete slave cylinder is so inexpensive it just doesn't make sense not to replace it entirely and be done with it. The slave cylinder is found on top of the bell housing, close to the oil filter. Squeeze the boot to check for leaks. If your fingers come out wet, that's a good indication that it's time to replace the slave cylinder and see if that fixes the problem.
