Volvo 940 Replacement Radiator Hose Information
Coolant moves from your Volvo 940's radiator into its engine block through a series of rubber hoses. These radiator hoses connect the radiator, the engine, the water pump and the thermostat housing. Molded radiator hoses are hoses that are specially engineered to be used with specific automobile makes. Flexible radiator hoses are hoses that can be used with any model car. Flexible hoses are actually more difficult to use because they are not designed to accommodate the other pieces of equipment in your engine, and so must be specially fitted and snaked around them. Flexible hoses also tend to leak far more often, particularly at the radiator connection. Since they're made from rubber, radiator hoses will crack and corrode over time.
