Itâs important to know that a bigger Dodge Dakota radiator fan fitted into a smaller car will lead to installation issues, excessive power consumption, excessive noise and little improvement in heat regulation. An internal combustion engine must operate within a specific temperature band for maximum efficiency. A very cold engine will impair proper fuel combustion. This affects mileage and emission control. On the other hand, a very hot engine may lead to deformation of the piston, cylinder head or even a crack in these vital parts. This is why the vehicle has an elaborate cooling mechanism with coolant, coolant lines, radiator and radiator fans reducing temperature and the thermostat regulating coolant flow to ensure temperature does not fall too low. Air absorbs heat from the hot pipes in the radiator. Heated air expands and cannot absorb any more heat. The air must be removed for cooler air to flow in. This task is performed by the radiator fan. A Dodge Dakota radiator fan will obviously be bigger and more powerful as compared to that of a smaller car.
