Lexus GS300 Replacement Power Steering Pump Information
Steady as you go steering and handling owes its ease, and simplicity, to the GS300 Lexus power steering pump. The GS300 Lexus power steering pump releases a small amount of hydraulic power steering fluid as the driver turns the steering wheel. Powered by the accessory idler belt, the power steering pump fluid facilitates the transfer of the steering wheel motion to the shafts that turn drive wheels. Without the pump operating, for example when the vehicle is in neutral, turning the vehicle's wheels is much more strenuous and difficult. Drivers appreciate the assistance provided due to the pump's actions, but must maintain the part to continue top efficiency.
