Ford F150 Replacement Pitman Arm Information
The Pitman Arm on the Ford F150 is the connecting link between the steering box and steering link on your truck. One end of the Pitman Arm is splined, and connects to the steering box shaft, being secured by a large castle nut. The steering link end of the Pitman Arm uses a tapered hole for a ball joint. Pitman Arms need to be very carefully built, using correct metal alloys, heat treating, alignment, design and fasteners. Since this is such a critical steering component, only the highest quality component should be used on your Ford F150.
