Get the Best Priced Lexus GS400 Oxygen Sensor

One of the many sensors used by the engine control module (ECU), the name given to the central computer responsible for monitoring the performance of your Lexus GS400, is the oxygen sensor. Your car has four of these oxygen sensors fitted into the exhaust system, two before and two after the catalytic converters. The ones in front, called upstream, measure the amount of O2 in the exhaust coming out of the exhaust manifolds. The ones behind the cat converters, called downstream, measure the amount of O2 in the exhaust after it has passed through these converters. Upstream units tell the computer how well the air/fuel mixture is being utilized. Downstream units tell the ECU how efficiently the catalytic converters are working. Faulty O2 sensors will trigger the check engine light and show a diagnostic code for exactly which unit needs to be replaced. Only high-quality replacement sensors should be used.
