Honda Accord Replacement Neutral Safety Switch Information
The neutral safety switch is an electrical component that disables start operation in all gears other than Park and Neutral. This device can be found on all automatic transmission vehicles, including Honda Accord. If you turn the key but the engine doesn't start, check the neutral safety switch. If this component falls out of alignment, it can prevent the car from starting. Make sure you test the switch before replacing it.
When this device fails, the starter will not operate. After locating the neutral safety switch, disconnect the wiring connector and use a voltmeter to check the power.
