Volvo 740 Replacement Master Cylinder Information
The master cylinder in your Volvo 740's braking system is an integral part.
Braking systems in current car models are split into a pair of circuits with the master cylinder providing pressure to both circuits so that a couple of wheels will spin even if one of the circuits should fail.
Your car would not have functional braking capabilities if the master cylinder fails because there would be no pressure furnished to the brake discs or drums in order to reach your brake pads. If your brakes fail to stop your car it can cause an accident or other mishap. Owning a Volvo was a smart choice, now keeping it in showroom condition is even more sensible!
