BMW 325e Replacement Master Cylinder Information

A BMW 325e Master Cylinder, sometimes called a brake cylinder, is a canister that holds the brake fluid, where it is compressed by a piston to transmit pressure from the pedal to the vehicle's brakes. Your Master Cylinder is an integral part of the overall brake system, which functions to stop and slow a motor vehicle. A typical Master Cylinder is comprised of two pistons, a primary spring and secondary spring and two separate reservoirs which contain brake fluid. A car or truck's Master Cylinder occasionally utilizes multiple secondary brake cylinders to send braking force among the brake rotors.
