Audi A4 Replacement Ignition Module Information
If you drive an Audi A4 that begins to experience acceleration problems, temperature issues or an inability to start, these symptoms could be indicative of a malfunctioning Audi A4 ignition module. The ignition system is comprised of spark plugs, an ignition coil and the ignition module, sometimes called the ignition control module. The spark plugs, which are responsible for igniting the fuel mixture in the cylinders, must fire at precise intervals, dependent on the car's timing setup. The Audi A4 ignition module directs the firing of the plugs at just the right time. It does this by comparing data it receives from the crankshaft and also a temperature reading of the engine coolant. It must also determine the temperature and density of the air entering the intake manifold. If it sounds complicated, that's because it is very technologically advanced. If the ignition module is faulty it could cause acceleration problems accompanied by shaking or hesitation when you press the gas pedal. The engine's operating temperature may also rise to a higher than normal level. Eventually, the car may refuse to crank over at all since a broken ignition module will throw the timing completely out of whack. Have it replaced with a quality replacement module.
