Toyota Celica Replacement Ignition Control Unit Information
Getting down to basics, the Celica Toyota ignition control unit, is a metal box housing power terminals and electrical signals needed to fire spark plugs to start the car. Without a solid, reliable Celica Toyota ignition control unit, the car will not move. The ignition switch delivers power by firing the ignition coil in one of the unit's terminals. Another terminal relays electricity to the spark plugs and engine. It's got to fire every time or nobody is going anywhere. Also called ignition control modules, the part may generate erratic sparks or not generate a spark at all. The engine then will sputter as it starts, hesitate, or not start at all. The Toyota Celica is a stylish compact coupe made from 1971 to 2005. It has to start, but ignition control units can be damaged and fail. Owners replace the unit to get the car moving.
