The Ignition Coil, also named an induction coil, is part of the ignition system which operates to amplify battery voltage to higher levels. A vehicle's Ignition Coil pulls 12-volt electrical charge from the vehicle's battery and converts it to an amplified voltage so that the spark plugs can transmit a spark across the spark plug opening.

This item came with no instructions. I fumbled around trying to find the size of the screws that hold it in place. (T-25)If you never worked on the 24 valve 6 cyl Ford 3.0, you should know that you have to loosen the air intake manifold to get to this part.
