Toyota T100 Replacement Fan Clutch Information
Your fan clutch is part of your Toyota T100's cooling system. It's the piece of equipment that controls the fan that sits behind your engine radiator. When your engine is becoming too hot, the fan comes on to provide more cooling power to the hot coolant circulating through your radiator. The water pump draws this coolant from your radiator and routes it through channels in your engine block. From there, the coolant recirculates back into your automobile radiator. Your fan clutch is driven by a belt that connects directly to your engine's crankshaft. The fan clutch consists of two metal plates separated by a fluid. As your engine heats up, this fluid becomes thicker. This allows the fluid to stick to the plate attached to the fan itself, causing the fan to spin.
