Pontiac Grand Am Replacement Engine Mount Information
The engine under the hood of your Pontiac Grand Am is a powerful unit responsible for providing the energy needed to move a one and one-half ton vehicle. When you press your foot on the accelerator the engine ramps up instantly and, were it not for the engine mounts attaching the engine securely to the vehicle frame, the power plant would torque into oblivion. The engine mounts, located on the front, rear and sides of the engine provide secure anchor points between the engine and the car frame. They also have a dampening effect on noise and vibration emanating from the engine block.
