Kia Rio Replacement Engine Mount Information
The Kia Rio is a subcompact car that has been in production since 2000. This car has a variety of models that range from hatchback to sedan and gasoline to diesel. Any kind of engine used in the Rio still needs to have an engine mount for stability. The mount is designed to hold the engine in place under the hood and provide support for the heavy and vital part. Mounts are generally made of two pieces of steel that are separated by a layer of rubber. The rubber is in place to absorb vibrations of the engine and provide drivers with a smooth ride. The first part of metal used in the mount is secured to the engine while the second is attached to the body. Problems can develop with a mount as a result of age and use.
