Buick Riviera Replacement EGR Valve Information
Lessening the impact of hazardous engine emissions while increasing engine efficiency makes the small Riviera Buick EGR valve an important vehicle addition. Consisting of a vacuum diaphragm ejecting emissions through a poppet valve, the Riviera Buick EGR valve lessens the impact of harmful engine combustion byproducts in the form of nitrous oxide and other gasses. Expelling the gasses more quickly in the manner a person exhales a breath, the valve helps clean the emissions better.
Also known as the exhaust gas recirculation valve, the Riviera Buick EGR valve aids engine operation by allowing more cool air to circulate during combustion rather than fumes. This generates more horsepower with less cylinder effort resulting in better gas mileage. The Buick Riviera is a family sedan that will occasionally need parts like the EGR valve
